osConcert

Late 2024, I introduced a special online application to make it easier for osConcert DESIGN MODE users to plot their coordinates for their Seat Plan creations. I subsequently added a seat plan generator page to osConcert and called it Version 10.

Now, at the time of this post March 2025 I am officially releasing a new version 10.1 which will include many improvements and new features. (A list of changes will be at the bottom of this post)

One of my best users had a wish list of features and I finally got around to the task of adding Pop Up Marketing and improving my Gift Voucher customer purchasing options.

In fact, many of my users have wish-lists and I have been busy with personal requests since the start of 2025.

What is Pop Up Marketing?

When visitors arrive at your ticketing website...it might be a good idea to convey marketing messages. A pop up window is something that can grab the attention of the visitor. It might be a Special Offer or a Warning about entry conditions to some event. Now we can create a message and enable one or two pop up messages at a new admin page Admin>Marketing>Pop ups.

I tried to keep it simple. I use a basic Bootstrap 5.3 modal where you can add a background image and create some text using the simple CMS Static Pages feature in Admin>CMS>Static Pages. You can catalogue many messges and use the ID of the Static Page in the Pop Ups interface.

So...you enable a Pop Up with a message and a background image and enter the page URL where you want the message to appear. It can be a specific event page e.g. index.php?cPath=123 or some other page, or if you want only the homepage to show the message then you must write 'HOME'.

That's it....it's a new feature so we will see how it goes. There's room for expansion of the idea but for now its simple and easy for the Administrator.

Fixed Price Gift Vouchers. SEE DEMO PAGE

I already have a Gift Voucher feature.....but it's a "Make Your Own" and it's a little cumbersome. It requires that you can only buy one per order. Now the Administrator can create multiple fixed price vouchers just as easy as creating General Admission products. Your customers can purchase perhaps 5 $25 vouchers and this will automatically create the COUPON CODES and issue a unique eTicket with the coupon code on the PDF.
